He began his medical career at Rangpur Medical College, completing his MBBS in 2011 followed by a year-long internship at Rangpur Medical College Hospital. He entered government service through the BCS and developed his clinical foundation over several years as Assistant Registrar of Medicine.

In 2021 he earned his FCPS in Internal Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons and went on to complete a second FCPS in Gastroenterology, a dual specialisation held by very few physicians in the region. He then pursued advanced endoscopic training at Zhengzhou Medical University in China, the country’s largest affiliated medical university and completed hands-on training at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) in Hyderabad, India which is one of Asia’s leading centres for digestive disease.

As an interventional endoscopist, he performs a full range of advanced procedures including ERCP for choledocholithiasis and biliary disease, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for early cancers, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for colonic polyps, variceal band ligation for patients with liver cirrhosis, oesophageal stenting in cancer patients and PEG placement for stroke and motor neurone disease patients. He was the first in Rangpur to introduce painless water-immersion colonoscopy, a gentler technique that significantly reduces patient discomfort.

His clinical practice covers the full spectrum of digestive and liver conditions from IBS, IBD and fatty liver to jaundice, gastrointestinal bleeding, pancreatitis, chronic diarrhoea and gastric and colonic cancers, as well as any case of abdominal pain. He is also an author and co-author of papers published in national and international journals.
